Learning, mini2440 & Beaglebone !

The (this *) section is dedicated to the introduction to Single Board Computers and these are my Mini2440 and Beaglebone.
–>So, lets first talk about Mini2440..
FriendlyARM Mini 2440 SBC is a Single-Board Computer with 400 MHz Samsung S3C2440 ARM9 processor. The board measures 100 x 100 mm, ideal for learning about ARM9 systems..
So, actually I would recommend this particular Single Board Computer because of its several qualities that are not present in competitive boards for its PRICE(price being the main feature)!
This board actually cost me Rs.7000 from the Indian Dealer Vegarobokits (online shopping 10 months ago).. It is one of the fantastic board of its kind as it is also provided with an LCD with 4-wire resitive touch screen, a pen stick , NAND flash 1Gb(though it comes in lower Nand versions too) and NOR flash of 2mb., Ethernet port, Serial Port, Audio connetor port, USB-for host and for power both)…More than usable for you number of General Purpose Input Outputs(GPIO), A JTAG debugger.
Other boards such as Beagleboard, Panda Board, Mini6410 etc are in the market too..Some are definitely better than it in terms of both Cost and Hardware.
Many in companies outside and in India are also making custom boards which are really cost effective but as per me, they are not for the newbies because first of all
Not good support is provided by the companies..
Community is not good, so no help !!!
So, I would say not to go with them if you are a completely noob sort of, and not having some guidelines..
Coming back to 2440, the main purpose of such boards are making out the embedded application based devices which is somehow very good using this board..
Android and Linux Kernel both are ported very easily as the manufacturers also provide a pre-installed bootloader in their NOR flash, just have the images provided at the website (FriendlyARM`s) and follow the menu based bootloader options from the NOR Flash..
Don`t worry I would be making out another post regarding the PORTING to mini2440..I am just giving introduciton to it, right now

and yes it is made up of 6 layer PCB: with a PCB size of only 3.4“*2.1“..
