Getting Started with Linux

Ahha!! guess this is the biggest problem with a lot of guys, they all want to work in Linux but just can`t get it ON…
reason being–Umm,, actually sometimes they themselves don`t know why I want to get into Linux stuff…it just appears as COOL, and GEEKY….
If you have a clear picture of what you want, then achieving it would not be difficult or be a burden for you….

There may be many a reasons for you to start with linux.  (I started it just as a hobby)

Reasons why I should be using Linux

  •   First of all, LINUX IS FREE, so no doubt, it has gained the advantage…so try it, experiment with it, crash it, edit and modify it,  do whatever you feel like then simply RE-install it without a pain of Serial numbers and activation and other things.

  • If you want to have a real  knowledge of your computer system works, YOU MUST USE LINUX and understand it..

  • The level of flexibility and ease of customisation is one of the attracting features of LINUX.

  • It’s way cheaper, faster,   safer, and has a far bigger            active community than Windows, so why aren’t you on it?

Even more, If you have an ancient system like me (Specs-- 256mb ram, P3 cpu, obviously no graphics card, a few times soldered motherboard, no harddisk, but it has USB.!!!!) Then also You can make it a fast running linux box..

What else could one want!! Use your old systems like these…make them act like a router, use them for  Embedded System experimentation…etc…
